Ontario and BC Legislation Now in the Dataset
We've expanded our legislation coverage beyond federal law. The dataset now includes statutes and regulations from Ontario and British Columbia, nearly doubling the total number of legislative documents to over 10,000.
What's New
- Ontario Statutes — 854 statutes dating back to 1986
- Ontario Regulations — 2,192 regulations from 1990 onward
- BC Statutes — 585 statutes dating back to 1924
- BC Regulations — 1,408 regulations from 1975 onward
These join the existing federal statutes (954) and federal regulations (4,845) already in the dataset.

Try It with MCP
The fastest way to explore the new data is through our MCP server, which lets you ask questions about Canadian law in plain language directly from Claude (requires paid subscription)
To set it up: in claude.ai, click Settings → Connectors → Add Custom Connector → set Name to a2aj and MCP Server URL to:
https://mcp.a2aj.ca/mcp
Start a new chat and try questions like:
- "Using A2AJ, compare the limitation periods for civil claims in Ontario and BC"
- "Using A2AJ, what are the requirements for incorporating a non-profit in British Columbia?"
With federal, Ontario, and BC legislation all in the same dataset, cross-jurisdictional comparisons are a single question away.
